Heartisans is run by two New York City artists who are committed to featuring a diverse and unique selection of goods made by artisans ranging from fair trade cooperatives half-way around the world, to local artisans in our neighborhood. Each purchase not only buys you a unique and special item, but every purchase helps promote fair wages and business opportunities to artisans worldwide, especially to economically disadvantaged communities. Fair trade products, and supporting local artists directly, are a refreshing alternative to sweatshop conditions and a way to take part in affecting real social change.
In addition to being passionate about fair trade and encouraging creative business practices, we are passionate about design.
We often work directly with artisans and cooperatives to design and produce exclusive market ready products under our Heartisans label.
